I use a humanistic approach, or known as client centred, to help you find clarity in your life and draw upon different modalities to guide you towards personal growth and self-exploration without judgement. I seek to cultivate self-acceptance while working towards your therapeutic goals so that you can bring about the changes you desire and channel them towards a path that leads to a more fulfilling life.
The core purpose of person-centred therapy is to facilitate our ability to self-actualise - the belief that all of us will grow and fulfil our potential. This approach enables your personal growth and relationships by allowing you to explore and utilise your strengths and identity.
As your therapist, the relationship between us is vital so you can be fully transparent, explore your feelings and speak openly. These help you find the ability to change, build unique strengths and values and become more self-aware and self-trusting so you can find your own solutions. Once you've discovered these abilities, you can better handle difficult situations in the future. I encourage you to explore how you respond to specific questions and situations to become more self-aware. I use open questions and provide a space to reflect on your words without judgement. It helps to express your innermost thoughts and feelings out loud.
I offer face-to-face and remote supervision, taking a humanistic approach being mindful of integrative skills.
I predominantly use the Seven-Eyed Model with Supervisees, it focuses on the relationships between client, therapist and supervisor and considers the interplay between each relationship and their context within the broader system.
I supervise both qualified counsellors and trainee students.
I teach Counselling skills level 2 so I feel comfortable in delivery and training.
I have spoken at conferences and regularly host webinars and workshops on areas such as Stress, Resilience, Menopause, Mental Health Wellbeing and Confidence building
Delivery of support and training is bespoke to the needs of the programme and can be discussed further on request.
